The PhD in Psychology, Pedagogy, Linguistics and Gender Studies is a newly named course starting from the 40th cycle, in continuity with the doctoral course in Mind, gender and Language active from the 30th to the 39th cycle. It is expressed as an interdisciplinary and intersectoral training proposal which is divided into four main research areas:
- Psychology
- Pedagogy and Educational Sciences
- Study of human language and natural languages
- Study of the dimensions of gender in all its different meanings and declinations
These four research areas do not arise as distinct curricular areas within the doctoral course but as opportunities for intersection, exchange and communications between disciplinary fields that share an interest in the processes and mechanisms that regulate the functioning of the human mind and relationships between individuals.
The doctorate is located across various ERC sectors but predominantly in the ERC SH4 sector “The Human Mind and Its Complexity: Cognitive science, psychology, linguistics, philosophy of mind”, and SH3 “The Social World, Diversity, Population: Sociology, social psychology , social anthropology, demography, education, communication”, as well as in gender history (SH6_12) and Artificial intelligence (PE_6).
